Sierra Super S-II: The Ultimate Citation Upgrade

Sierra’s newest FJ44 re-engining program adds 2820 lb. thrust Williams FJ44-3A engines to the Cessna S550 Citation S-II model. With an increase of more than 600 lbs. of thrust at sea level (and even more at altitude) and a range of 2300 NM, the Super S-II provides a stunning improvement in across-the-board performance. The Super S-II is fully approved by the FAA for both part 23 and Part 25 operations.

Building on Sierra’s 25 years of Citation modification history and 15 years of experience in Citation re-engining, the Super II development program has been leveraged from the popular and proven Eagle II, Stallion and Super II modifications, which also feature the Williams International FJ44 advanced turbofan engines.

With its advanced wing configuration, the Citation S-II is an ideal candidate for the increased power of the Williams FJ44-3A engines. The Super S-II modification provides significant across-the-board performance enhancement to the Citation S-II – boosting fuel efficiency as much as 25%, cutting time-to-climb to under 25 minutes to FL430, extending range to over 2600 NM, and increasing maximum fuel payload. Dramatic reductions in takeoff field length (more than 20% reduction at 5000 ft, ISA +20º), coupled with increased climb rates make the Super S-II a superb performer under virtually any field conditions or altitude. Dual Channel FADEC controls provide smooth, vibration-free and reduced workload for the pilot and passengers.

Pricing for the complete Super S-II modification starts at $1.856 million (with trade-in credit for existing engines) and includes Williams FJ44-3A engines and installion, all associated structural changes to accomodate the increased thrust, all necessary hydraulic, mechanical and electrical changes and dual-channel FADEC for power management and full-time synching between engines.
